US graphene startup Avadain has closed an oversubscribed $5 million crowdfunding round in just 37 days. The round is the company's fourth successful crowdfunding campaign, bringing its total raised through crowdfunding to $15,847,259, with three of the four rounds oversubscribed.

Avadain develops graphene manufacturing technology and licenses its modular production process to chemical companies and advanced materials manufacturers, with the stated goal of building out nationwide production capacity. Avadain is one of only three companies this year to have raised the full $5 million permitted under US crowdfunding law in any 12-month period. The company previously raised $5 million in 2025 as well, a round that earned it a crowdfunding industry award for the strongest raise of that year.
"Avadain's competitive differentiation is that we have the only known technology to manufacture large surface area, atomically thin and defect free graphene," says Bradley Larschan, Avadain's CEO. "Our graphene flakes have roughly 200,000 times greater surface area than nanoparticles from leading producers."
"Avadain's continued ability to raise capital is a clear signal from the U.S. investment community that the highest quality graphene will have a transformative impact to revitalize American manufacturing and strengthen the Defense Industrial Base," Larschan added.
