Directa Plus and Ambienthesis to test waste liquid treatments using graphene

Directa Plus has signed a collaboration agreement with Ambienthesis, a Milan exchange-listed reclamation and hazardous waste disposal group. The agreement will see Directa’s G+ enhanced Grafysorber adsorbent tested as a cleaning agent for soil, groundwater and industrial waste.

Testing will start at the beginning of 2019, covering various types of liquid waste using a mobile treatment plant specifically engineered for the project. The result of the test will form the basis of a potential commercial agreement.

Giulio Cesareo, Directa Plus’ chief executive, said: "Extending the use of our advanced Grafysorber product into the industrial waste and soil remediation markets is an important step forward".

"This agreement with Ambienthesis potentially expands our target sectors for environmental treatment services significantly and follows our strategy of using locally based, but internationally active, Italian companies as a springboard to global markets."
