Premier Graphene (OTC: BIEI) and joint venture partner HGI Industrial Technologies have delivered a second batch of tactical belts to the Dirección General de Fábrica de Vestuario y Equipo (FAVE), a division of Mexico's Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA), keeping production on schedule under the companies' defense supply contract.
The delivery is part of a 1,600-unit order for SEDENA, and follows the completion and inspection-acceptance of an initial batch of 200 belts. Premier Graphene and HGI previously confirmed initial deliveries under the contract in May without disclosing batch sizes or the total order volume at the time; this release is the first to put concrete numbers on the program's scale. The companies said the remaining balance of the order will follow according to the agreed production schedule.
"With this second delivery, we are not simply delivering another batch of belts — we are demonstrating that our commitment to the Mexican military is backed by execution," said Pedro A. Méndez, President of HGI Industrial Technologies. "Every delivery made on time strengthens the confidence of our partners and validates the production capabilities we are building together." Méndez added that Premier Graphene and HGI are building a manufacturing platform aimed at Mexico's defense sector "with greater speed, consistency, and domestic production capacity," and said the companies intend to extend the same manufacturing capability to the U.S. defense sector.
The belts are the latest step in Premier Graphene and HGI's broader push into Mexican defense manufacturing, which has also included a joint venture targeting graphene-enhanced body armor for military use.
