Semiconductor Lab Technician in the Graphene Team

A full time position for an experienced Semiconductor Technician to join Team Graphene and help advance the development of graphene-based chemical and biosensors.

Graphene Frontiers is an industry leader in graphene manufacturing and graphene based electronic applications. It is developing a unique and powerful graphene sensor technology that aims to revolutionize various industries, including medical diagnostics, environmental detection, and homeland security. This sensor technology is based on graphene transistor devices. Moving toward commercialization increases the need of a Technician with device fabrication experience to carry out production, which includes transfer and handling of large area single layer graphene films, and device fabrication.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting production deadlines of graphene devices

  • Transferring graphene to usable substrates for device fabrication

  • Performing device fabrication functions

  • Keeping trained and updated on tools for fabrication and quality testing

  • Tracking of production and production materials

  • Quality control testing during production process

  • Quality Assurance testing at end of production

  • Reporting/updating of production status

  • Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies

  • Maintaining and operating production equipment and processes

  • Working with Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) equipment, evaporators, etching equipment, and spin coaters

  • Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced

  • Recording and interpreting results to present to colleagues

  • Keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability

  • Integrating new processes into the production flow as they are developed

  • Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks

  • Optimizing graphene device production process for increasing device performance or decreasing time/costs.

 Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate must be conscientious, detail oriented, and have a strict adherence to deadlines and will have a minimum of 1 year of semiconductor fabrication or device production experience, clean room experience a plus but not required.
