TACC signs MoU with NCB to develop graphene-enhanced concrete

The Advanced Carbons Company (TACC), a wholly owned subsidiary of HEG, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB) to jointly develop next-generation sustainable, durable, and high-performance concrete using TACC’s graphene-based additives.

This strategic collaboration will focus on integrating graphene’s unique properties into concrete to significantly enhance its strength, durability, and overall performance. A key objective of the partnership is to contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions, thereby aligning with India’s long-term climate goals and vision of achieving net-zero emissions.

The MoU marks a milestone in developing advanced, climate-resilient construction materials and infrastructure solutions. By leveraging TACC’s innovation in graphene technology and NCB’s concrete research expertise, the partnership aims to drive a transformative shift toward greener and stronger building materials.

In January 2025, TACC entered another MoU with Ceylon Graphene Technologies to advance graphene technologies.
