The UK government to invest £50 million in graphene to improve commercial opportunities

The UK government announced a new plan to invest £50 million (about $77 million USD) to improve graphene's commercial opportunities. The UK's Chancellor said that the UK will fund a national research programme that will take this Nobel prize winning discovery from the British laboratory to the British factory floor.

A business case is currently being developed by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) to determine the best way to commercialize graphene.
