Metalysis was founded in 2001 by the University of Cambridge and located in South Yorkshire, UK. Metalysis owns the global rights to a platform technology capable of producing a wide range of metals and alloys at a lower cost and with a smaller environmental footprint than traditional processes.
Metalysis' vision is to transform the metals industry through the commercial exploitation of its patented technology for the production of metals with greater efficiency and a lower environmental impact. The company retains around 50 employees and migrated from a R&D based organization to a commercially orientated company that is using the FFC process to produce commercial quantities of tantalum.
Metalysis announced that it has developed a synthesized graphene material that will soon be available for industrial production.
