The INL is looking for an experienced researcher (typically 2~4 years of active research after PhD), with scientific background in Bioengineering, Biophysics, Biochemistry or related area, to work in chemical and bio sensing using graphene-based electronic platforms developed at INL and to collaborate in the development of new sensors based on nanocarbon materials.

Candidates with less than 2 years of active research after PhD may be considered if their profile and scientific record clearly match the required profile and scientific background. Successful candidates will have experience in one or several of the following fields: lab-on-a-chip devices, microfluidics, graphene technology, chemical functionalization of surfaces for immobilization of biomolecules, biosensor design using aptamers, optical and/or electrochemical detection methods, other detection methods, immunoassays, DNA detection.

The successful candidate must have a PhD degree in physics, biophysics, chemistry, materials engineering or other related field and be fluent in English. Preference will be given to candidates who have an outstanding international research track record in the field of bio sensing. Candidates should have strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an interdisciplinary environment, with the ability to pay close attention to detail and to meet deadlines.
