Graphene Innovations Manchester (GIM)

Graphene Innovations Manchester (GIM) is a Manchester-based deep-tech company that develops and commercializes graphene-enhanced materials and products in partnership with industrial clients.

GIM is a privately held graphene innovation and investment company focused on turning in-house and partner R&D into market-ready products, mainly for UK and EMEA markets. It operates as a Tier-1 partner within the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) in Manchester, giving it access to advanced labs and scale-up facilities for graphene and other 2D materials.

The company designs graphene-based compounds and production systems that integrate into customers’ existing manufacturing lines to improve performance and sustainability. Its solutions target properties such as strength, dent resistance, sound dampening, thermal and electrical conductivity, weight reduction, and material efficiency across sectors including construction materials, rubber, composites, energy, and mobility.

Beyond its Manchester base, GIM leads or anchors initiatives such as the GIM WildCat commercial development hub at Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park in the UAE and the GIM GrapheneFibre venture in Saudi Arabia for graphene-enriched carbon fiber. These projects are positioned to scale industrial graphene applications globally, including large planned manufacturing capacity and job creation in the Middle East.

The company is an investor in Manchester-based graphene-enhanced recycled rubber developer SpaceBlue.
