Lyten's graphene-enhanced filament to be integrated into Modovolo's transportable 3D printing platform
Lyten, which is known for its battery work but also applies its 3D Graphene platform to composites and printing materials, has partnered with US 3D printer manufacturer Modovolo to integrate its graphene-enhanced PA1205 filament into the BFP, a modular, transportable large-format 3D printing platform built for aviation, industrial, motorsports and defense applications. Both companies frame the combination as a way to support domestic manufacturing and reduce reliance on overseas supply chains.
Modovolo developed the BFP after struggling to find a US-built 3D printer capable of producing aerospace-grade components quickly and affordably for its own drone program. The result is a containerized, modular system that can be transported and deployed almost anywhere, allowing operators to manufacture large, high-performance components close to where they are needed rather than shipping them from centralized factories.
Lyten to establish a Lyten Industrial Hub in Poland
Lyten has announced its interest in establishing a Lyten Industrial Hub in Poland. In 2026, Lyten will conduct a feasibility study to assess manufacturing requirements for its products, potential private and public partnerships, and the necessary energy and utility infrastructure. The industrial hub will be built around Lyten Dwa – the energy storage production plant and R&D center in Gdańsk.
Earlirt his year, Lyten announced the establishment of its first Industrial Hub in Skellefteå, Sweden, on the site of the former Northvolt Ett plant, which it acquired. It will combine battery production with a data center with a capacity of up to 1 GW, being built by EdgeConneX. Once it reaches full production capacity, the Swedish industrial hub is expected to attract over $10 billion in additional infrastructure investment and be an engine for jobs growth.
Lyten to acquire Northvolt Revolt battery recycling plant
Following the closing of its acquisition of Northvolt Ett and Northvolt Labs at the end of February 2026, Lyten has announced that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Revolt, the former Northvolt recycling site in Skellefteå, Sweden, including licenses to key technology. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Revolt is one of Europe’s largest fully integrated battery recycling plants, with an installed recycling capacity of 8500 tonnes/year and the infrastructure to scale further. The site is powered by 100 percent fossil-free energy and located directly alongside the Lyten Ett gigafactory in Skellefteå. The facility supports the recycling of lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese.
Lyten expands into construction materials with graphene-enhanced concrete
Lyten, the supermaterial applications company and inventor of Lyten 3D Graphene™, has announced its expansion into the global concrete market with the launch of Lyten S Cure™ , a high-performance concrete admixture engineered to make infrastructure stronger, more durable, and faster to build - without requiring changes to existing production processes or compromising on cost.

S Cure marks Lyten's third major industrial vertical, extending its proprietary supermaterials platform from battery energy storage and composites for 3D printing and adhesives, into the world's most widely used construction material. The launch reflects Lyten's broader strategy: applying molecular-scale materials engineering to solve foundational performance challenges in critical infrastructure.
Lyten launches graphene-enhanced 3D printing filaments and adhesives for motorsports, aerospace and defense applications
Lyten has announced the official launch of two products at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show: Lyten 3D Graphene™ enhanced 3D printing filament and a structural epoxy adhesive purpose built for high temperature applications in motorsports, defense and aerospace.

Lyten announced PA1205, a Lyten 3D Graphene - infused PA12-based 3D printing filament, alongside the 6120HT high-temperature structural epoxy adhesive. Both products are built on the company’s 3D Graphene platform, designed to increase stiffness, strength, and thermal tolerance of polymers and composites while reducing weight relative to metal or conventional reinforced systems.
Lyten secures over $200 Million to support ongoing acquisition strategy
Lyten has announced it has secured more than $200 million in additional equity investment. This brings total investment to date in Lyten to more than $625 million. The additional investment is provided primarily from current investors. Lyten intends to accelerate its acquisition strategy and expansion plans in both the US and Europe with the additional capital.
Additionally, Lyten announced it has acquired the rights to Northvolt’s energy storage products, Voltpack Mobile Systems (VMS), Voltrack, and future BESS products currently in development. This is Lyten’s third Northvolt-related acquisition since November 2024. The VMS product is already in its third generation, with commercial installations throughout Europe. The core members of Northvolt’s energy storage engineering team will be joining Lyten in Stockholm, Sweden, and VMS and future BESS products will be manufactured in Gdansk, Poland.
Lyten launches a new motorsports venture for graphene-enhanced automotive parts
It was reported that Lyten launched Lyten Motorsports, a new venture designed to bring its material science innovations to motorsports parts. Lyten Motorsports is launching in partnership with INDYCAR Experience, bringing its 25-year experience as a supplier to motorsports circuits around the world.
Lyten’s 3D Graphene is a carbon-based material that can be tuned to meet the specific needs of high-performance applications, impacting material properties like strength, weight, conductivity, and permeability. Lyten is already utilizing its 3D Graphene platform to develop lithium-sulfur batteries. Lyten is using the strength, weight, and conductivity of its materials to design and build parts that further push the limit of strength to weight ratio in motorsports.
Lyten files patent for graphene-enhanced cement
Lyten has filed a patent for a new cement and concrete mix that uses three-dimensional graphene (3DG) carbon materials to enhance performance and reduce reliance on traditional Portland cement.

The international patent application was filed on 7 September 2024 and published on 13 March 2025, making the details available to the public. It covers cement compositions that include 0.05% to 2% by weight of 3DG carbons, along with ordinary Portland cement and up to 70% supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) such as metakaolin, limestone, or gypsum.
Lyten to acquire battery manufacturing assets from Northvolt
Lyten has announced that it is acquiring manufacturing assets from Northvolt, a Swedish battery manufacturer facing financial difficulties.
Northvolt is selling manufacturing equipment the company inherited in its 2021 acquisition of Cuberg, another battery startup. Lyten will also assume the lease of Cuberg’s old manufacturing facility in San Leandro, California. Lyten will invest $20 million next year to expand facilities in San Leandro and its existing operations in San Jose.
Lyten plans $1B Lithium-Sulfur battery Gigafactory in Nevada
U.S-based Lyten announced plans to invest more than $1 billion to build the world’s first Lithium-Sulfur battery gigafactory. The facility will be located near Reno, Nevada, and will have the capability to produce up to 10 GWh of batteries annually at full scale. Phase 1 of the facility is scheduled to come online in 2027.
Lyten’s proprietary processes permanently sequester carbon from methane in the form of 3D Graphene and utilize the supermaterial to develop decarbonizing applications. Lyten has received more than $425 million in investment from companies including Stellantis, FedEx, Honeywell, Walbridge, the European Investment Fund, and the Luxembourg Future Fund.
