Mark your calendars - what are the graphene conferences to attend in 2018?

Conferences are a great place to learn about new development in the graphene industry and meet with fellow professionals. There are many excellent graphene events coming up in 2018 all over the world.

The following article will detail the most prominent graphene events. If you plan on attending other events (or if you are organizing an graphene event unlisted in our event directory) be sure to comment below. Some of next-year events (some important ones in the US and China) haven't been announced yet, so be sure to stay tuned for new graphene conferences.

IDTechEx Graphene & 2D Materials 2018 (April 11-12, Berlin, Germany)

IDTechEx's Graphene & 2D Materials event is an excellent way to get updated on graphene and advanced materials, especially as this event is co-located with events focused on printed electronics, 3D printing, electric vehicles, energy harvesting, energy storage, IoT, sensors and wearables.

IDTechEx also organizes a USA version of this event, usually in November in Santa Clara. Details of the 2018 event have not been published yet.

Mobile World Congress 2018 (February 26 to March 1, Barcelona, Spain)

MWC is the world's largest gathering for the mobile industry, organized by the GSMA. It features a large exhibition, conference programme and networking opportunities and is a great opportunity to experience next-generation mobile technologies. As in previous yours, the Graphene Flagship partners with the MWC event and will host a graphene pavilion in the exhibition to showcase graphene materials and developers.

Graphene Week 2018 (September 10-14, San Sebastian, Spain)

Organised by the Graphene Flagship, Graphene Week is an annual gathering for graphene technology leaders. The Graphene Flagship is organizing an ambitious program this year that includes invited talks and keynote speakers, as well as a large industrial exhibition.

Graphene 2018 (June 26-29, Dresden, Germany)

Graphene 2018 is the 8th edition of Europe's largest graphene and 2D material event. The event include 4 days of presentations, exhibition, industrial forum, workshops and a brokerage event.

AEM2018 (September 10-12, Guildford, England)

AEM 2018 is five different material conferences in one, with topics that include graphene, energy materials, nano materials, solar energy and hydrogen energy. The three-day conference will host parallel symposiums, poster presentations and networking opportunities. The organizers also host a similar event called ANM2018 in Portugal that will also include a graphene-specific conference.

ImagineNano 2018 (March 13-15, Bilbao, Spain)

ImagineNano 2018 is the 4th edition of the largest European Event in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology. The 3-day event includes four different conferences, one of them (GraphIn 2018) focused on graphene and another conference that is focused on composites.

GrapheneUS 2018 (February 22-23, New York, USA)

The first edition of the Phatoms Foundation US Graphene exhibition, officially called the "Graphene & 2D Materials International Conference and Exhibition" is a two-day event that will focus on graphene and include an industrial forum that will present the most recent advances and business opportunities.
