Toraphene is a UK-based biotechnology and materials company aiming to replace single-use plastic packaging with its alternative: Toraphene.

Toraphene is a biodegradable, compostable & commercially-viable plastic packaging substitute, that embeds graphene platelets in the natural polymers. It is said by the Company to be stronger, thinner & to give better food protection than alternatives.

In 2020, Toraphene launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, which achieved its goals and was even overfunded.
