Talga Resources Ltd is a multi-national company focused on graphite mining and graphene supply and application development. The company mines graphite in Sweden, operates a test processing facility in Germany under Talga Advanced Materials GmbH and has a product development arm, Talga Technologies UK Ltd located in Cambridge, UK.

Talga is developing graphene products for additives to coatings, batteries, concrete and epoxy composites. Testing of Talga materials and products is underway with a range of corporations including industrial conglomerates Tata and BASF subsidiary Chemetall, UK listed Haydale, flexible battery maker Zinergy and German based Jena Batteries.

 

Talga Resources is a public company trading on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: TLG). In June 2016 the company raised $10 million in a placement.

Talga sets out to raise $7 Million heading towards battery anode production

Talga Resources has announced receiving firm commitments from investors to raise gross proceeds of A$10.0 Million (around USD$7.2 Million).

Talga shared that it sees the strongly supported placement as reflecting significant investor interest as the Company progresses development of its facility in Sweden to produce ultra-low emission coated anode for greener lithium-ion batteries.

Talga to supply coated anode products to lithium-ion battery giant Farasis

Talga Resources logo 2017Australia-based battery graphene anode producer Talga has entered an agreement with European lithium-ion battery giant Farasis Energy Europe (Farasis). Talga will supply coated anode products for evaluation in Farasis batteries.

Talga sources its graphene and graphite in the north of Sweden, from where the company produces coated ‘active’ anode products which it will now, according to their agreement, supply to Farasis.

Talga and Bentley Motors to develop graphene-enhanced motor parts

Talga Resources, battery anode and graphene additives developer, has announced that it has been approved for Innovate UK co-funding to support development of an e-axle designed for Bentley Motors.

The OCTOPUS project aims to deliver the ultimate single unit e-axle solution designed specifically to meet Bentley Motors performance specifications via optimized motor and power electronics technology and materials. The project is funded under the Office for Low Emission Vehicles’ and Innovate UK’s IDP15: The Road to Zero Emission Vehicles competition.

Talga announces second commercial scale graphene coating trial

Talga Resources has announced the commencement of a new large-scale commercial trial of its Talcoat graphene additive for maritime coatings. At the core of the Talcoat product is Talga’s new patent pending graphene functionalization technology in the form of an on-site dispersible powder that adds graphene to paints and coatings.

Following the former trial, ans supported by the same ship owner, Talga has provided its graphene additive to enhance a primer coating successfully applied over a sizeable area of a second large container ship.

Talga launches commercial-scale trial of graphene coating on ocean-going cargo vessel

Talga Resources, advanced battery anode materials and graphene additives provider, has announced a commercial-scale trial of a graphene-enhanced coating applied to a 33,000 tonne container ship.

Talga and BillerudKorsnäs sign agreement for graphene-enhanced packaging products

Talga Resources has executed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with BillerudKorsnäs, a Swedish multinational packaging company.

The JDA reportedly results from successful test work completed under the Letter of Intent, signed by the parties in August 2018, regarding Talga’s functionalized graphene product, Talphene, used in BillerudKorsnäs fiber and board packaging products.

Talga enters MoU with Leclanché to trial graphene li-ion battery anodes

Advanced battery anode materials and graphene additives provider Talga Resources has announced that it has executed a Memorandum of Understanding with Switzerland-based Leclanché, a leading provider of high quality energy storage solutions.

Under the MoU Leclanché will evaluate Talga’s range of Swedish anode products, Talnode, in its batteries with the intention to develop commercial products for the lithium-ion battery industry.

Talga to scale-up operations following positive battery anode product test results

Talga Technologies is scaling up its R&D operations at the Bradfield Center on Cambridge Science Park. The reported that this move comes as tests showed that Talga’s Li-ion battery anode product, Talnode-C, outperforms existing lithium battery technology in cold weather situations, where lithium products have traditionally struggled.

We make graphene and graphite materials, says Talga Resources R&D manager, Sai Shivareddy. Graphene is made by an electrochemical exfoliation process in an aqueous electrolyte water plus salt by using our natural graphite rocks in electrodes.

Talga reports positive test results on its graphene silicon Li-ion battery anode project

Talga Resources has revealed new test results on the ongoing optimization of its graphene silicon Li-ion battery anode product, Talnodeâ„¢- Si. According to Talga, the battery anode product returns further performance gains, now delivering ~70% more energy density than commercial graphite-only anodes.

The product reportedly provides a drop in solution for improving current Li-ion battery performance. Commercial samples under confidentiality and material transfer agreements are scheduled to commence delivery around the end of February 2019 - recipients are said to include some of the world’s largest electronic corporations.

Talga enters agreement with Schunk for graphene-enhanced automotive product development

Australia-based advanced materials technology company, Talga Resources, has announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Schunk Carbon Technology, a subsidiary of the German Schunk Group.

Under the agreement, Talga and Schunk will co-operate on the exploration and incorporation of Talga graphene (Talphene) into a Schunk product with applications in the automotive sector. Further details of the LOI and application are being kept a secret at this stage.
